Goodwin realised that artist tends to repeat a certain motion or dance in music videos they produce, for example Ne-Yo tugs on his hat similarly as a cowboy would, which is similar to the ‘King of Pop’ Michael Jackson had done. By re-enacting these dance moves it allows the audience to recognise the artist and become their signature move.
