On the front cover the artist establishes direct eye contact with the audience; this creates a sense of relationship between artist and audience.
The dark eye make-up increases the intensity of the eye contact. Her hand gesture suggests ‘Secret’ or keeping quiet, which suggests mystery. Her dark pink lips and dark eye make-up suggests maturity however by using the colour pink instead, of red it shows a sense of youth.
This links with the artists name and how the font is similar to handwriting giving a more personal feel to the album. The grey background compliments the pink font and also does not take away the focus of the artists’ face.
The back cover of the CD is a black which makes it simple, black is a sophisticated colour. There is no image which allows the audience to focus on song titles.
The CD is also black like the back cover which shows continuity. In the centre, there is a distorted heart which looks as if it is handwritten which is again showing fluidity to the handwritten font on the front cover.
