Warner Music Group (WMG): an American major global music institution and is the largest American owned music organisation in the world. The company is made up of three recording companies, Warner Bros, Records and Atlantic Records; they also own Chappell Music which is one of the world’s largest music publishing companies. Sony Music Entertainment: the second largest

music corporation in the world, which mainly

works through ‘Sony BMG Music Entertainment’

the music recording company.

Sony Music Entertainment has many label branches such as, ‘Provident label Group’, ‘Syco Music’, ‘Sony Music Nashville’ and ‘Columbia Label Group’. ‘Syco Music’ is a UK based entertainment company which was started by famous television producer Simon Cowell in 2002, with artist’ such as Alexandra Burke who is currently under the company.
