4. Artist's visual style created by industry
The artist is moulded in to show the industry wants them to be like, men tend to be able to dance and women are dressed provocatively. An example of a women changing is Rihanna who started with an innocent image than in the music video ‘Umbrella’ had change her whole appearance with a “Bad Girl” look.
The image shows transformation of this artist's over time to show how image is a key element in the promotion in the music industry.
This is Chris Brown’ – Turn up the music which confirms Goodwin’s theory as the song is at a fast speed but at 2:59 the song slows down with also the dancers in the music video dancing in slow motion.
