2000s +
After the year 2000 music videos had become a common thing on television and have begun to become a part of advertising. Technology had improved with new technical music videos; with a recent example is ‘Jennifer Lopez - Goin' In’. In recent years, many songs and music videos have ‘feat’ artists; this has become popular converging different genres. Typical genres that are converged are pop and rap.
In more recent years, Party/house had become extremely popular as dances have become a trend with the public learning the dance moves.
Music has become international due to social working sites like Youtube and Vimeo allowing music videos from all over the world to be shown; Gang Nam Style a South Korean song and music video has topped the charts in both the UK and US.
Music is continuing and we will see more changes as we program in technology.
